Xcart: Customised packing labels

Vicky at Harts Nursery need to reduce the amount of time spent writing out the labels they were using for packing their high quality Lily bulbs.

This is a busy time of year and already it was taking up all her time.

Harts’ already had a thermal printer, so Vicky asked us if it was possible to select a batch of orders in the admin, click one button and have the labels sent to the thermal printer with the required information. Vicky needed their company name, website address, the name of the lily and the order number all on the label.

An added complication was that some products consist of more than one bulb, so the label needed to include those as well.

We’re glad to say that we managed to fulfill all the requirements and Vicky is now saving hours every week with the new customisation, all for £150!

In fact Vicky said

“I’ve found the new labelling system has worked so well for us. And it’s saved us a hell of a lot of time not having to hand write each ordered product out on a label! Worth every penny :)”
