1. Keep your social media active

There’s no point making all your social media profiles and then not building and leveraging them. We suggest you choose only the channels which serve your audience, to maximise time spend in the right areas. There’s no point having a Tiktok account if your audience are not the demographic using that platform.

Stay active on your chosen social media channels by using our social media management services.

2. Don’t underestimate the power of referral

There’s nothing better than word-of-mouth marketing. Gather reviews, ask your friends to keep you in mind, and foster those good relationships. Word of mouth referrals have a tendency to proliferate and grow.

3. Invest in your own website and SEO

We have talked about the value of having your own standalone site without reliance on social media, but we can’t reiterate this enough. And although it is a big upfront investment, having your own website can ensure you have complete control over your content without being at the mercy of third party sites.

Having your own website also makes your company look more professional and can help with first impressions.

4. Don’t rely solely on one marketing channel

Off the back of the previous point, it’s important not to rely on one marketing channel for your custom. Social media platforms can change their algorithms or their advertising prices with no notice, so it’s just a common sense move to use more than one sales funnel.

5. Set up Google My Business

This simple step is often overlooked. Setting up your Google My Business page will ensure that your customers get all the information they need when searching for you online. Posting updates, information, and any changes to opening hours to your GMB page will keep it fresh and helpful to potential clients.

6. Tell a story

Don’t be afraid to tell a story. It’s not all sales sales sales. Tell your story, and share a small personal element with your audience – make it relatable and personable. Businesses with that human touch are more engaging on social media, and more real to their clients.

7. Build a community

On the back of no.6, building a community online can be a great way to foster trust in your brand, and bring loyalty and custom. Not only does an online community (such as a facebook group or otherwise) function similarly to a mailing list, it also creates a VIP space, where your clients can get inside deals and special promotions.

8. Start an email list ASAP

The ultimate resource is an email contact list. It is your direct sales funnel, requiring no third party help or search engine results. It is full of people that like the sound of your product already, or who are already customers. Leverage this resource and start an email list as soon as you can.

9. Get feedback

Feedback is a good thing, so listen when it is given (even if it’s hard to hear), and learn from it!

10. Analyse what works, and do more of it

Analytics are often overlooked, but they are a mine of information on what is going well and could do with improvement. Study your website information via Google Analytics, and the numbers on your social media analytics. And always try some A/B testing on ad campaigns before committing to further spend.
