What is Blog2Social
Blog2Social is a WordPress plugin which allows you to share content from your blog (and other links / photos) to your social media channel. It is a paid service, but it is a very small fee for a decent scheduling service.
You can schedule blog content for set times, or set it to roll out repeatedly (please note that social media generally requires original captions rather than repetitive ones). You can view your scheduled content in an easy to use calendar view, and attach a vast number of social media channels to your account.
The biggest difference between B2S and other schedulers is that all your content and images are already in situ in your WordPress, so the information is pulled directly. You can see when you last shared a post, so you don’t repeat yourself too often.
Another big advantage is the number of social media channels you can attach to your account.
Pros and cons
While the interface is a little old school and ‘clunky’, the functionality is really reliable and useful. If you are scheduling content which hasn’t published yet, and your post doesn’t publish as planned, B2S will still post, however just with a link to the home page. This is a useful feature, although something to note if you sometimes have downtime or publishing issues on your blog.
Overall, B2S is a really useful tool; and despite the minimalist back-end interface, the capability and channels available are impressive.
