WordPress How To: Add an Alt and a title tag to WordPress

 Search engines use alt tags and title tags to understand what an image is about.
The alt tag is also used for blind readers to indicate the content of the image.
Adding useful values for these to your images will increase the traffic to your posts. This is how it’s done.
  1. Click on the image and choose “edit”
  2. Immediately you can see the “Alternative title” and this is the commonly named Alt tag
  3. Lower down the page you will find the “Image title attribute”
  4. It’s also useful for your blog users to add a value to the “Caption” box, although this will change the look of your images slightly
