Velocity Commerce
Your first proper shop
Our own platform. Light, quick and inexpensive to run, with everything a growing shop needs and none of the weight it does not.
eCommerce
We have been building online shops for twenty-five years — from a first small catalogue to stores with thousands of products, feeds and integrations.
Three ways to build it
There is no single best platform, only the right one for what you are selling and how much of it. We build on all three, so we have no reason to push you towards any of them.
Your first proper shop

When you want the plugins
The best known shop platform in the world, with an add-on for almost anything. We build it properly and host it somewhere that keeps it fast.
Serious catalogues
Performance at the heart of it. Modern, future-proofed infrastructure for retailers with big catalogues, real traffic and no patience for a slow site.
Setup and running costs for all three are published on the homepage — no ringing round for a price. See the pricing
After launch
Launching the shop is the start of the job, not the end of it. These are the four things that turn a website with products on it into a business.
Titles, descriptions, images and structured data written so both the customer and Google understand what they are looking at. A shop lives or dies on its product pages.
Stock and prices coming in from your supplier or your accounts system, and going out to Google Shopping, price comparison sites and affiliate networks — automatically.
Your own shop keeps the margin, the marketplaces bring the volume. We connect them so you are not managing the same stock in three places.
Newsletters and abandoned-basket emails are the cheapest sales you will make all year, because those customers already know who you are.
Already selling online?
If any of these make you wince, the fix is usually smaller than you think.
How many clicks from landing on the site to paying?
Does the search box find a product when the spelling is wrong?
Can somebody check out without creating an account?
Does it load in under a second on a phone, on mobile data?
Do you know which products people abandon, and why?
We will happily look over a shop we did not build and tell you what we would change — even if the answer is “not very much”.
Tell us what you sell and how much of it. We will tell you which platform fits and what it costs to run.
