A guideline, not a quote. The exact figure follows once we know what you actually need.
Get a quoteAn online shop is the part of a website most worth attacking and least forgiving of neglect. A WordPress shop carries the store software, the theme, the payment extensions and the shipping extensions, and every one of them is a component that has to be kept current or it becomes a liability. Shops get hacked far more often than brochure sites, and they do it quietly.
Velocity Commerce has none of that surface. It is one piece of software that we wrote and we run, with no extension marketplace bolted on to it, which means there is nothing sitting on your site that we did not put there. It is fast, because it was built to be rather than optimised into it afterwards.
Day to day it does what a shop needs to do: take orders, take money, manage stock, apply delivery rules, handle the tax. Changes to the shape of the site come through us and get done quickly. You spend your time on the products and the customers, which is the part only you can do.
Where a business outgrows it — very large catalogues, complicated pricing, a lot of feeds — we will tell you, and move you to Aero Commerce rather than pretend otherwise.
Who it is for
Is this the right one for you?
- A business selling online that wants the shop looking after rather than looking at
- Anyone whose WooCommerce store has become a maintenance job in its own right
- A catalogue of a manageable size where speed matters more than infinite configurability
The honest catch. It is not the right answer for a catalogue of fifty thousand products with complex pricing rules. That is what Aero Commerce is for, and we will say so rather than sell you the wrong thing.
What you get
- Everything in Velocity Publish
- Products, categories, stock and orders
- Card payments, and Direct Debit where it suits
- Delivery rules, discounts and tax handled properly
- Hosting, SSL, backups and the day-to-day, all in the monthly fee
Not sure which one fits?
