WooCommerce
The WordPress shop — and we look after plenty of them. If you are already on WooCommerce we will keep it fast, safe and selling. If you are choosing from scratch, we will be honest about when it is the right answer.

A guideline, not a quote. The exact figure follows once we know what you actually need.
Get a quoteWooCommerce is free, open source, well documented and genuinely flexible, and it sits inside WordPress rather than beside it, which is why it became the obvious choice for so many small businesses and start-ups. We have built plenty of Woo stores and we look after plenty more, and we are not about to pretend it is a bad platform.
It is self-hosted, which is the part people underestimate. Like WordPress itself it needs somewhere to live, and it needs hosting configured properly for it rather than the cheapest shared package going — that alone is the difference between a shop that feels quick and one that does not.
The honest weaknesses are worth stating. It is limited in places, extensions can be expensive and of very mixed quality, and an extension whose author vanishes leaves you running unmaintained code in the part of your site that handles money. Every WordPress shop is also a stack of components that must be kept current, and a shop that goes three months without updates is a shop with a problem it does not know about yet.
On balance there are more pros than cons, which is why we still like it. But where a business wants the shop simply to work without being a maintenance job, Velocity Commerce does that, and where a business is scaling hard, Aero Commerce does that.
Who it is for
Is this the right one for you?
- An existing WooCommerce store that needs somebody competent looking after it
- A business already committed to WordPress for the rest of its site
- Anyone needing a specific WooCommerce extension that nothing else replicates
The honest catch. The extensions are the risk. They cost money, the quality varies wildly, and the people who make them can disappear without warning — which leaves you running code nobody maintains.
What you get
- Speed work — the single biggest problem with most Woo stores
- Security: core, theme and extension updates, applied and tested
- SEO and the technical foundations underneath it
- Day-to-day changes, products and troubleshooting
- A migration path off it, if and when that is the right move
Where it goes next
Tired of maintaining it? Velocity Commerce is the same job with none of the upkeep.
